The Los Rios colleges, including American River, Cosumnes River, Folsom Lake and Sacramento City colleges, have partnered with biomedical company StemExpress to provide COVID-19 testing sites for employees, athletes, students and the community at each of the college campuses. Employers can also use these sites as they begin to bring back their workforce. In most cases, there are no out of pocket testing costs for the individual.
“We understand the important role these academic institutions have on our community. Some of the essential programs that will be supported through this partnership are nursing, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification and Fire Science. StemExpress has been supporting education at all levels and national sporting leagues with opening in a safe and responsible way. We are excited to support Los Rios by providing on-campus COVID-19 testing during this pivotal transition,” said StemExpress CEO, Cate Dyer.
StemExpress offers rapid and reliable single-point-of-contact COVID-19 testing, with results turned around on average in less than 24 hours. Students, staff and members of the community can self-schedule their own appointment for testing at any of the campuses or one of StemExpress’ many convenient testing locations throughout the Greater Sacramento Area.
Below you can click on the individual site names to be taken directly to self-schedule your COVID-19 test:

StemExpress is also offering individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 an opportunity to participate in life-changing research by donating their blood to science. The individuals that participate will be compensated for their time and effort of their blood donation. Participation in this effort is vital and provides leading scientists with the samples needed to find COVID-19 treatments, answer crucial questions on variants, and support vaccine research.
