Maternal Blood, Fresh, ACD-A

Since our founding in 2010, CGT Global has pursued our mission to transform healthcare as we accelerate cell and gene therapy research and clinical trials, streamline the commercialization of new treatments, and map the last mile to patient access to these life-changing remedies.  By innovating each stage in the cycle; development, commercialization, and delivery, we reduce the overall cost of the care and multiply access points so that millions can receive cutting edge, life-saving gene and cell therapies.

Description

Blood is a specialized bodily fluid that contains red blood cells, white blood cells, plasma, and platelets. It is essential for transporting nutrients, oxygen, and waste as well as fighting infection and regulating body temperature. In addition, cell-free fetal DNA is also found in maternal blood and can be used to develop useful screens for detecting fetal genetic disorders during pregnancy.

Whole human maternal blood is collected at varying gestations and demographics in 10 mL aliquots containing the anticoagulant ACD-A. Maternal donors are recallable after 8 weeks of prior donation. IDS testing can be requested for each donor.

Collected from IRB consented donors.
