HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN A BLOOD DONOR?
I’ve always donated blood. I’ve been donating whole blood and platelets ever since I was a teenager in high school. I had no idea that StemExpress existed, but I fell in love with it right away. I have been able to help not one person, but countless amounts of people.
WHY IS RESEARCH IMPORTANT TO YOU?
Research is important to me because my dad passed away seven years ago of COPD. He was unable to breathe and he had chronic asthma, pretty much his lungs were going out however because of the research and the scientist that created his medication, he was able to live a few more years and stay with us a little bit longer. That’s why research is so important to me.

The donation experience with StemExpress has been absolutely positive for me. The facility is so clean, you have your own room, where you get to watch Netflix, you get snacks afterward. Everything is clean and sanitized. I have donated many times with other facilities and it’s just not the same.

I have nothing but good things to say about the staff here at StemExpress. As soon as I walk in they greet me by my name, the phlebotomist remembers all the conversations we’ve had in the past, she remembers my son’s name, how old he was. They sat with me the entire time, throughout the bone marrow, throughout the whole blood. They’re so thorough and I have nothing but positive things to say about them.
